Think you’re a bit handy behind the wheel? Then how about signing up for “Make it your race”, the first talent show devoted to aspiring race drivers!
If you are between 18 and 40 years of age and your are not a professional racer, you should send in your registration right away. You don’t need a helmet or a race suit for the moment, just hurry up and fill in the registration form to stand a chance of being one of the 105 selected drivers.
Those lucky 105 drivers will come from several European countries (Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Belgium and Switzerland) will be selected for the first stage: an advanced driving course at the Varano Driving Academy in Parma!
But there is more! The best 24 will be invited to the Camp and will take a new course at the Driving Academy – a race driving course. The best 6 will have the opportunity to race an Abarth 599 “Assetto Corse” together with professional drivers, during the official Abarth Trophy test on the Franciacorta circuit (June 22-24 2012). First place drivers will get an Abarth all of their own!
On the http://www.makeityourrace.it website have been collected over 10,000 pre-registrations from 6 countries involved in the project – Italy, Germany, UK, France, Switzerland and Belgium – thanks to the YouTube teaser video that delivered about 600,000 views.
