It’s times like this that I really wish I owned one of the Renaultsport range. The calendar of events for the 2012 Renaultsport Track Days have just been announced, and unfortunately they’re exclusive to Renaultsport owners. As usual the events give owners the chance to tear up the tarmac on some of the UK’s greatest circuits.

Renaultsport Track Days 2012

Not only do you have the opportunity to take your Renaultsport out on track but there is also the chance to get expert tuition from one of Renault’s professional instructors, with an emphasis on improving your driving rather than going flat out for the greatest lap time.

“Our trackdays are the ideal way of letting our customers share our passion for Renaultsport, as well as giving them the opportunity to realise the full potential of their cars in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. The tuition provides invaluable experience to improving skill levels.” Thierry Sybord, Renault UK’s Managing Director

The season-opening event at Spa-Francorchamps was a complete sell-out so you’d better move fast to guarantee your place on the remaining UK dates for 2012:

Date Venue Price
4th May Evening trackday at Bedford Autodrome £95
10th May Trackday at Silverstone £199
23rd August Trackday at Oulton Park £199
31st August Evening trackday at Bedford Autodrome £95
23rd August Trackday at Brands Hatch £189

Each event also gives owners the chance to have a go in the current Renaultsport range, including the new Twingo Renaultsport 133, Clio Renaultsport 200 Cup and Mégane Renaultsport 265 Cup. At Silverstone you can even hire a Clio or Mégane Renaultsport to use on track.

Renault’s track days are extremely popular and the prices are kept low thank to subsidies from Renault UK. The events are open to anyone regardless of track day experience and if you feel you need a bit of help the expert tuition is a bargain at just £10.
