Back at the start of 2010 Renault got their year off to a great start when their trio of Renaultsport hot hatches grabbed all of the glory at the What Car? 2010 awards. Well, they’ve only gone and done it again in the 2011 awards.

Renaultsport What Car Winners 2011

“Renault clearly knows a thing or two about putting smiles on our faces with a range of thrilling hot hatches that are great fun and well priced. The best of the bunch, the Mégane, has that rare blend of talents that make it a true hot hatch great.” – Steve Fowler, Editor-in-chief of What Car?

Topping the bill yet again was Renaultsport’s finest, the Mégane Renaultsport 250 Cup. Not only did Renault’s fastest hatch grab victory in the over £20,000 group, it also held off its rivals to win the ‘Best Hot Hatch’ title for the second year running.

The sublime Clio Renaultsport 200 Cup triumphed yet again in the £15,000 to £20,000 section, with the baby of the trio, the Twingo Renaultsport 133 Cup, leaving the opposition trailing in its wake in the under £15,000 category.

Nice work Renault, but with a new Focus ST and the Audi RS3 arriving later this year they might have their work cut out in 2012.
