Vauxhall are turning to the dark side with the Corsa Black Edition, a limited run of just 500 cars.
Building on the popularity of the Limited Edition, the Black adds new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a black logo bar to the already enhanced looks. Styling add-ons inherited from the Limited Edition include a lower spoiler at the front, side sills, rear lower skirt and rear spoiler. Fitting in with the Black theme are headlights with dark surround while the rear lights and windows get a darker tint.

The Black is more than a rehashed Limited Edition as it adds a touch of extra pace by using a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the same as that used in the SRi. With 120PS and 175NM of torque it can propel the Corsa to 60 mph in under 10 seconds, and with the aid of Stop/Start technology it can return 51.4mpg and emit as little as 129 g/km.
Prices for the Vauxhall Corsa Black Edition start at £15,995 for the 3-door and £16,425 for the 5-door model and it’s on sale now.
