Apparently the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain. Well, judging by this new video from Bridgestone there’s a group of motoring bloggers who might like to argue that point.

They’d been invited to the exclusive Ascari resort near the south coast of Spain. It’s a place you expect to find soaring temperatures and baking sun but when Bridgestone decided to hold the launch of their new Adrenalin tyres at the Ascari circuit they were greeted by pouring rain. Not that it stopped them from getting out on track and enjoying the new tyre.

The Potenza Adrenalin RE002 has been designed to provide sharper responses and more precision and with that comes the promise of improved acceleration and braking and more steering feel.  So how did Bridgestone make sure that a group of bloggers properly experienced the limits of the new tyre?

The answer is simple. They stuck them in a car alongside a professional driver, then gave them a laptop and told the driver to go flat out. Meanwhile, the blogger is asked to do what they do best – write an article describing their experience. As it’s happening. Watch the video below and you’ll see that for some this was quite easy, for others … it proved quite difficult.

I know one thing for certain. If it had been me sat in the passenger seat, looking down at a laptop while being thrown around at speed, they’d have been cleaning my breakfast and lunch from the laptop’s keyboard and the footwell of that Audi TT. When it comes to motion sickness I don’t make a good passenger!

The Potenza Adrenalin RE002 should be available through good tyre shops now. If you want to learn more about what makes it special you can read about it here, as well as check the range of sizes that it’s available in.

If you’ve not considered Bridgestone tyres before, you might be interested to know that it’s their Potenza RE050A tyres that were fitted to the Renaultsport Megane 265 Trophy that recently grabbed the production car lap record at the Nurburgring.
