The editors and publishers of some of Britain’s biggest car magazines and websites have joined forces to urge the Government to support demands to stimulate new car sales in the UK.
In an open letter to the Government the publications are requesting the introduction of a scrappage scheme for older cars. The idea is to give a potential buyer £2000 if they trade in an older car for a new one, thereby boosting sales as well as removing some old smokers from the roads. Will it work? Do the Government care?
There’s an e-petition you can sign at the Number 10 website, so get your name down and lets see if we can get the government to help out our suffering car industry.
