Here’s the first sighting of a ‘concept’ version of the next MINI John Cooper Works.It’s easy to identify thanks to the new aero kit, ‘Bright Highways Grey’ paint (complete with stainless-steel effect that reminds me of a DeLorean) and the chunky 18-inch JCW wheels.
We don’t know the performance figures but seeing as the new Cooper will use a turbocharged 2.0 litre in place of the old 1.6, it’s safe to assume the JCW will use the same powerplant with the power dialled up a bit.
We’ll see more of the MINI JCW at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in 2014.
