Seat have turned to the dark side for their latest limited edition, named the Ibiza Black.

2009 Seat Ibiza Black Edition

Seat Ibiza Black Edition

It’s a smart-looking little hatchback based on the five-door Sport specification. It comes with Black Magic metallic paint and 17-inch alloys, as well as unique front and rear bumpers, side skirts, roof spoiler, tinted rear windows and a ‘Black’ badge on the tailgate. Other standard equipment from the Sport includes air conditioning, sports seats, electric windows, cornering-beam front fog lamps, six-speaker CD/MP3 player, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, front and side airbags and remote central locking.

Sadly, the Ibiza Black is just extra show but with no extra go as under the bonnet you’ll find the same 1.4-litre unit as in the Sport. That means 84bhp and 0-62mph in 12.2 seconds with a top speed of 108mph, but at least it’s economical (45mpg) and insurance friendly (group 3E).

Seat will be selling 150 Black editions at a price of £12,345.
