It looks like Top Gear is returning to our TV screens on Sunday 26th June for a run if six shows in what will be the 17th series since its rebirth.

Top Gear

How do I know? Because FinalGear.com have said so and they’re basing this on the fact that the tickets for the live recordings are up for grabs. There are six Wednesday dates listed in the Applause Store, the company that handles tickets for the show, and the first date listed is June 22nd. Good luck if you want to try getting some tickets, you really will need it!

The show is usually recorded on the Wednesday immediately before the Sunday on which it is broadcast, so with a bit of simple maths we get from Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th. I think it’s safe to say that the show will be in its usual 8pm slot on BBC2, assuming there isn’t any snooker getting in the way.

Excellent news, and I’ll be setting up the Freeview recorder as soon as Top Gear appears in the listings.
