JE Design has announced their tuning and styling program for the facelifted 2012 SEAT Ibiza a.k.a. the 6J. The Ibiza’s angular looks can be modified with a series of styling accessories while ECU upgrades will help owners to extract even more power from their rides.
There’s a variety of bits to choose from in the styling catalogue – front spoiler, headlamp covers, side skirts, rear spoiler and a rear apron with carbon-effect detailing. The total cost of all of the pieces is €1238, while an extra €399 adds a centrally-mounted trapezoid exhaust.
Lowering springs can be specified, dropping the ride height by 35mm for a price of €149. Not enough? Then try the new coil-over suspension for a total drop of between 50 and 60mm.
Of course, a bodykit wouldn’t be complete without a set of new wheels. JE Design are offering 17” multi-spoke alloys finished in either shadow silver or matt black with a polished lip, priced at €1809 and €1920 respectively for a full set. 18-inch wheels are also available, wrapped in 215/35 tires, and are priced at €2380 for the silver and €2460 for the matt black with polished lip.
If power upgrades are your thing then you’ll also be interested in the ECU remaps. For €1399 the 1.2 TSI can be boosted to 140bhp and 230Nm, which brings a useful drop of 0.7 seconds in the 0-62mph time. Meanwhile, the 1.6TDI has also been worked on and for €1099 it can be tuned up to 125bhp and 295Nm.
The accessories and upgrades for the new Seat Ibiza are all available directly from JE Design’s online store.
