Over at JE Design they love tuning and making body kits for fast Leons, and while the Leon FR might not be the fastest in the range it won’t stop JE Design having a go at it.
The Leon’s 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine gets a tweak to push power up to 270bhp (from 211bhp) and 355 Nm of torque. That’s enough power to rival the upcoming Cupra Type R and drops the FR’s 0-62mph time to only 6.2 seconds. The diesel version of the FR gets boosted from the factory default of 170 hp to 204 hp, while torque increases from 350 to 380Nm.
Then there’s the obligatory JE Design bodykit. Not for those who want a subtle look, the new FR bodykit is extensive amd incudes headlight brows, LED daytime running lights, front spoiler with double lip, side skirts, rear skirt, diffuser and four-pipe exhaust system. And for the Seat-owning Lamborghini fans there’s even the option of having scissor doors.
