According to MINI site MotoringFile there will be a special edition of the John Cooper Works being released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the construction of John Cooper’s first F1 car.
The JCW F1 edition is expected to be mechanically the same as a standard John Cooper Works model, so that means a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 208hp and 192lb-ft of torque. Instead the F1 edition is likely to be a cosmetic exercise, coming in non-metallic British Racing Green with Pepper white doors and mirrors and a scattering of F1 badges.
There are no official production figures yet, but MotoringFile are expecting a very limited run of 50-100 units.
