Although I booked my £160 tickets for the Rockingham round of the 2009 VXR Track Days a few weeks ago, I received an email recently saying I would be getting a £40 refund on my ticket price.
Why? Apparently the list price of the Rockingham tickets has been reduced to £120, so Vauxhall offered to refund anyone who had already bought tickets. That’s a nice, honest approach because if they hadn’t said anything I probably wouldn’t have noticed.
Why were the Rockingham tickets more expensive? Because you get an additional session teaching you how to drift a 6.2-litre VXR8. I thought that was worth the £40 upgrade, but for no extra money at all it now represents blinding value!
