It may only be a few short months since Gymkhana 4 but Ken Block’s Gymkhana 5 has just arrived on the internet with a tyre-shredding, big budget bang.
This time the action moves to San Francisco, a city famed for its steep hills and the backdrop to many famous film car chases. Remember Steve McQueen in Bullit, Clint Eastwood in The Dead Pool and Nicolas Cage in The Rock? All filmed on SF’s streets.
The fearsome slopes of the city streets, the zig-zags of Lombard Street and the famous cable cars all make an appearance, as does the instantly recognisable Golden Gate bridge. Keep an eye out too for Alcatraz, always part of the San Francisco backdrop.
We also get a guest appearance from Travis Pastrana, Block’s bike-riding friend and DC Shoes team-mate, for a bit of a dirt bike versus Fiesta H.F.H.V. showdown.
The Gymkhana series has already attracted over 135 million views – expect Gymkhana 5 to add a few million more. If you clicked play in the window above you added another view to that total but can Gymkhana 5 beat Gymkhana 3’s 1,000,000 views in the first 24 hours?
So is Gymkhana 5 the best in the series? The worst? Let us know in the comments below!
